Built a YOLOv8 vehicle detection system (cars, bikes, trucks, ambulances) with 94% accuracy, using OpenCV for real-time frame capture, preprocessing, and bounding-box rendering. Boosted inference performance using multi-threading, running OpenCV frame capture and YOLO inference in parallel. Created a Flask + JavaScript real-time detection app using OpenCV-streamed frames and the YOLOv8 (best.pt) model for smooth browser inference.
